Peje

Peje (Peć) sits above the town of Peja in western Kosovo — a takeoff field just above a gravel road, a large clearing cut out of an area otherwise dense with bushes and small trees. The surface is not particularly smooth, so a reverse-launch technique with some wind is preferable. As of 2016 there's no windsock and no signage; the takeoff is the only clear field in the area, so it identifies itself. Landings sit at the foot of the mountain on large green fields — shared with livestock, so eyes open.

Getting there & local rules

Reachable by 4x4 (or normal car with high clearance). From Peja city, in the north-western edge, find the gymnasium and take the road on its left up the hill. Pass the big restaurant on your right; the asphalt ends soon after. Continue on the same road. ~1 km past the restaurant, on your left, is a landing field and kiting area. Continue up. ~2.8 km past the restaurant you reach a hilltop crossroads — the main road turns right; take the other way for the takeoff. Landings: large green fields at the foot of the mountain (livestock share the field — take care). A lower landable field just north of the gymnasium exists but the area is full of cables and barbed wire — scout it before flying.

No formal airspace information published for the site — treat as a local-knowledge site. Reverse launch preferred because of the uneven surface. Livestock share the LZ — care on final. Scout the lower gymnasium field before flying: cables and barbed wire around.
