Where it is
Loíza is a Puerto Rico coastal spot — a small local site with an east-facing takeoff along the shoreline. Not swimmable beach (dangerous currents). Community is friendly but small — respect the corecamar community and other locals, use the available parking, and take your trash home. Access is dirt-road only, so a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
Launch & conditions
Takeoff most of the time toward the east — fly along the shoreline until you have safe altitude.
Getting there & local rules
No main road access — dirt road only; 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle recommended. Beware of local fishermen and (non-harmful) stray dogs around. Landing: beach is not swimmable — keep dry.
Local rules & hazards
FLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. 1) Do NOT fly more than 400 ft AGL — 100 ft over the tree tops recommended. 2) Flying more than 1.5 NM west is prohibited due to Class C airspace limits. 3) After passing 3 miles east (Hyatt Regency), altitude at your discretion, and be aware of aircraft along the shoreline at or above 500 ft (active airspace at 1,200 ft over this spot). 4) Always check the latest FAA NOTAMs, TFR and airspace rules. 5) Every pilot is responsible for their own flight. Ask locally for airspace orientation or a briefing before your first flight.
Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Loiza Spot, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Loiza Spot with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.

Flyable days by month
A day counts as flyable when the surface wind held in your range, from a direction the site flies, with no rain, for at least 2 hours in a row (08:00–20:00) — from hourly 10 m wind over the last 12 months. A seasonal wind guide only: it can't judge gusts, thermals or turbulence, and never replaces the live forecast, airspace checks and your own judgement.
