Where it is
Punod is a mountain-ridge site on Negros Island in the Philippines, on the highway between San Carlos and Bacolod. The launch sits around 2,300 ft (~700 m) ASL, with a fairly small takeoff area shaped by the mountain profile — but safe in good wind. It's easy to reach from San Carlos and well served by public transport; get one of the locals to show you the way up the first time. Waddy's Place, a mountain lodge on the ridge north of launch, is a good base to stay on the hill.

Getting there & local rules
About 15 km from San Carlos on the highway to Bacolod. Ceres buses run about every 20 minutes from San Carlos bus station and will stop wherever you like along the road. From the highway it's a 20–30 min walk up to launch (a climb, not too hard). Sito Punod is in Barangay Prosperidad, San Carlos. Landings: top-landing north of the launch (you pass it on the way from the road). Bottom LZs are cultivated valley fields — the easiest is marked on the club map (not easy to see from launch); it sits well below the road with a climb-out, but the farmer there is happy to help carry the bag. A sloping landing above the road almost due east of launch also works — mind the trees.
Local rules & hazards
No formal free-flight regulations in the Philippines, and no commercial airports nearby to worry about. Watch for showers when low cloud rolls over the ridge, and stay alert to fast changes typical of tropical weather.
