Where it is
Teston Rd Vaughan 2nd site is a stepped former landfill (now closed and under remediation) in the Toronto suburbs — the top berm is about 200 m long, so the soarable ridge is limited. Thermal sinks nearby mean thermalling out is possible once you gain height off ridge lift, especially on the south side. The hill peaks at about 890 ft ASL with useful exposure to SSE and NNW; a shallow W-facing slope also works as a beginner training slope. Ignore any Google Maps roads past Rodinea — all closed to traffic except site maintenance, so it's foot access only. The 'no trespassing' signs relate to a natural-gas pipeline; walk-in access is tolerated but discreet.
Launch & conditions
Closed and under-remediation landfill, covered in short weeds. Stepped hill peaking at ~890 ft ASL. Good exposures SSE and NNW; a W-facing shallow slope works as a beginner hill. Top berm ~200 m long — limited ridge length.
Getting there & local rules
Keele St and Teston Rd — east to Rodinea St, right (south) to the end where the street barrier is, park on the side of the street. Ignore the 'guard dogs' signs (they're for a large construction/yard site off to the west along the paved road). Walk past the concrete barriers and slightly right up the slope. Ignore Google Maps roads past Rodinea — they're all closed to non-maintenance traffic.
Local rules & hazards
Site sits in Toronto Pearson's glide path — ceiling ~2,500 ft (roughly 1,500 ft AGL). If you thermal up, do NOT go too high. A few 'no trespassing' signs are around — the land is city-owned natural-gas pipeline right-of-way; walk-in access is tolerated but keep it low-profile.

Flyable days by month
A day counts as flyable when the surface wind held in your range, from a direction the site flies, with no rain, for at least 2 hours in a row (08:00–20:00) — from hourly 10 m wind over the last 12 months. A seasonal wind guide only: it can't judge gusts, thermals or turbulence, and never replaces the live forecast, airspace checks and your own judgement.
