Cathedral Bluffers Park (Toronto)

Cathedral Bluffers Park (Toronto) is a difficult cliff launch on the Scarborough shore of Lake Ontario. Not suitable for beginners: the cliff has no slope at all — barely enough flat ground to lay a glider down before a straight drop, and no room to run. It would only work in perfect wind with no gust or crosswind. Turbulence at launch is common. The park behind the cliff would however work well for paramotor pilots.

Local rules & hazards

2,500 ft ceiling ending in Pearson airspace (major no-go). Direct overhead of launch at 2,000 ft is a heavily-used VFR route for light aircraft (often student pilots) — do not linger there. The bowl at launch generates turbulence.
