Trevignano launches barely 180 m above Lake Bracciano in Lazio, a pure soaring site with no thermal component to rely on. The lake breeze that powers the site typically builds in early afternoon and holds fairly steadily through to sunset, which is the practical window most pilots fly. Wind direction is the one rule that really matters here: the site only works safely with wind from the south or south-west, and any other direction is flagged as dangerous rather than just suboptimal.
