Where it is
Teba Poniente is a thermal, soaring and flatland launch at 594 m in Málaga province, Spain, flying with wind from the north, south, west and northwest. On westerly wind days, be prepared for a distinctive smell from a nearby pig farm — a quirk of the location rather than a flight hazard, but worth knowing before you commit to a session here. Beyond the main west-facing launch, additional south- and north-facing take-offs are available nearby, giving options as the wind shifts through the day. Landing is mostly done by top-landing back at launch rather than heading down to a separate LZ. One useful fact for planning: this site sits just outside Málaga's controlled airspace (CTR), which begins somewhat southeast of the town — worth confirming on a current airspace chart before flying, especially near that boundary.
